Overview
Our Caribbean voyages range from 1 - 3 weeks and cater to writers of all levels. We design voyages for both high school and college students as well as creative adults who want to take the next step in their writing journey. We offer a wide range of topics to appeal to all creatives, whether you have a love for fiction, an ear for songwriting, or an eye for film.

What’s Included
At Creative Sea Charters, your safety is our top priority. Every voyage is run by an experienced captain who has extensive knowledge of the local area as well as a personal chef to indulge your every whim. All meals are provided on board with a few optional dining opportunities on shore.
Additional staff include a professional instructor responsible for leading writing lessons and workshops, as well as a travel liaison to coordinate local excursions. All pre-planned activities are tailored to the specific voyage and are included in the price.
Itinerary
Each voyage is expertly planned to ensure guests have time to both practice and play as they write their way through an amazing sailing adventure.
Though each itinerary is unique depending on the destination, you will typically sail to a new anchorage every other day. Mornings will be spent studying your craft followed by time to explore the stunning Caribbean anchorages in the afternoon.
In between writing hours, you’ll have opportunities to swim, hike, savor delicious cuisine, and stroll through various ports during shore excursions.

We create custom voyages for our clients and choose dates based on our guests preferences and charter avaiability depending on the destination.
Rates
Our charters are designed to offer guests a luxurious space to unwind and focus on their writing for the best price possible. Rates vary depending on high or low season, how many guests are on board, and whether you choose a private or shared cabin.

Our Vessels
We partner with various charter companies throughout the Caribbean to ensure you have a luxurious stay with plenty of space to write, create, and play as we sail in paradise. We typically charter a catamaran anywhere between 54-62ft and the boat usually has five to six cabins and heads (marine restrooms).
Although sailing is an incredibly freeing and exhilarating way to travel, space on board is limited. Our guests will be expected to share a cabin with one other person. Should you prefer your own space, we do offer the option to sign up for a private cabin for a slightly higher fee. If you want a little more room but don’t want to pay for a private cabin, there are a few lounge areas onboard that you can cozy up on. Alternatively, many guests like to set up a hammock or layout on the spacious netting on the bow and fall asleep to shooting stars overhead.
Sailing also humbles the self-proclaimed overpackers as there are limited storage areas onboard. You and your roommate will be asked to share the cabinet and closet spaces in your cabin and we require guests to pack in soft duffle bags as we cannot easily store hard or wheeled suitcases. Whether you’re a minimalist or a humble overpacker like our founder, don’t fret. We’ll send you a packing list with everything you need to know before your voyage to help streamline the process.
For those willing to brave the few restrictions that do come with living on a sailboat, get ready to be rewarded with crystal-clear seas, sun-kissed tans, and your next writing adventure waiting for you just on the horizon.

Our Policies
Weather
We run voyages year-round and tailor your itinerary to ensure you enjoy the best and most comfortable sailing conditions and anchorages throughout your journey. Our captains monitor weather reports before and during the trip and may adjust the itinerary within reason due to a change in conditions.
In the unlikely event that a trip cannot run due to unsafe weather conditions, the voyage will be rescheduled. If a guest cannot attend the new travel dates, they will receive a refund.
Deposits & Payment Plan
We require a 30% non-refundable deposit to confirm your space on board and the full payment is required 70 days before departure. We recommend purchasing travel insurance if you need to cancel for any unforeseen reason. Following the deposit, you can pay the full price or contact us to discuss payment plan options.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel, you are liable for all payments paid and unpaid at the time of cancellation.
